Oh dear,why lah Mahathir

From Malaysia-Today (extracts):

N: DAP wants the PM post

M: Bullshit, they told me they only want the DPM post (besides, hehehe, I am keeping the PM post for you-know-who)

C'mon Tun, that's totally NOT true; it's bullshit too - we did NOT ever ask for any post other than for Anwar Ibrahim

(Malaysia Outlook) – Former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad has denied the allegation that DAP had asked for the position of Prime Minister should the Opposition wrest Putrajaya from Barisan Nasional (BN) in the upcoming general election.

He said this in response to Prime Minister Najib Razak’s statement that DAP would rule the country should voters opt to elect Pakatan Harapan (PH) in GE14.

As reported by newsportal AntaraPos today, Mahathir however claimed that DAP had asked for the position of Deputy, presumably Deputy Prime Minister.

“They (DAP) clearly said to me, Chinese are the minority in this country…and DAP never asked to become Prime Minister. But if deputy, then yes… The one who said they wanted to become Prime Minister was Datuk Seri Najib to scare the Malays,” Mahathir alleged.

Before I come to Mahathir's bull, let me get this out of the way.

Look, DAP couldn't even have one of its Adun (Teresa Kok - Kinrara) appointed as the deputy MB in Selangor after the 2008 elections, so what Maddy nonsense is this in DAP wanting the post of DPM of Malaysia if Pribumi and Pakatan come to power after GE-14.

Let me remind you of what occurred post general elections in 2008.

The Pakatan supporters had hope that sassy Teresa Kok might be appointed deputy MB.

Teresa Kok

Selangor state secretary (then) Muhammad Munir claimed that the deputy MB should ideally be a Malay to assist the MB in Islamic and cultural duties. But Professor Abdul Aziz Bari (at that time not with any political party) podah-ed the state secretary's assertion.

The Prof said: “The Sultan of Selangor does not need the menteri besar or the deputy menteri besar in matters pertaining to religion and Malay custom.”

According to the Prof, the sultan, as the head of Islamic matters and the Malay adat, was (still is) in fact THE PERSON in charge of such matters in the state, and not the MB or his deputy.

He said: “Matters cited by the palace are entirely within the sultan's jurisdiction. As the sultan may act on his own discretion on these matters, the constitution provides that a council may be appointed to assist him."

"This is what is commonly known as religious councils or majlis agama (MAIS), which looks after the religious department or jabatan agama. In the other four states and federal territories, the Agong will have the same establishment.”

Prof Aziz also commented that a prolonged delay in the appointment of a deputy MB was unnecessary and might even be unconstitutional.

Professor Bari

But when Khalid Ibrahim was asked whether the appointment of a Deputy MB had been postponed or scrapped altogether, he as usual side-stepped the issue by stating the need to explain the matter (what?) properly to the people (who?), and that he would do this after the executive councillors had been sworn-in (why?).

But had he ever done that while as MB?

That was one of Khalid Ibrahim's greatest failures which over the last five years we came to realize even more.

In the end, Teresa Kok was NOT appointed as deputy MB in the 2008-2013 DUN session, enabling Khalid Ibrahim to live happily ever after ... well, until 2014 when he was rudely removed by Azmin Ali's clever manoeuvring, wakakaka.

And there’s buggerall the nons and DAP could do or say, for one sensitive issue in Malaysia, democracy and its warts and all, has been and still is the sacrosanctity of the Malay rulers, which Chinese and Indian Malaysians have been well advised to either stand clear of or exercise extreme prudence when commenting on.

Unless HRH accepts a non as MB or deputy MB, nons who are Aduns will have to continue being at most an exco member.

So what cock is Maddy talking about in claiming the DAP wants the DPM post, which has been exploited kau kau by UMNO to frighten the Malays.

Yes, with both Maddy and Ah Jib Gor frightening the poor Malays, and JAKIM and other JA-organizations riding herd on them, it's a wonder the Malays haven't gone schizophrenic by now.

Well, to show Maddy is now into mythical narrative, today Malaysiakini publishes DAP did not ask for DPM post, says Guan Eng which tells us (extracts):

Lim Guan Eng has denied that DAP requested for the deputy prime minister post if the opposition wins the next general election.

The DAP secretary-general was responding to a Berita Harian report, which quoted an Antarapos article in which Dr Mahathir Mohamad was quoted as stating that DAP asked for the post.

The Antarapos article quoted the former premier, who is the chairperson of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), as telling an event at Yayasan Perdana last night that DAP never requested for the prime minister's post.

However, Lim claimed that such discussions were never held.

“We have never talked about posts in governments,” the Penang chief minister told a press conference in Georgetown this afternoon.

“Let us remember that when we talk about race, it cannot resolve any problems. We have not discussed the DPM post nor talked about any cabinet posts,” he added.

Lim said DAP is consistent with its stand and supports the appointment of PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim as prime minister if Pakatan Harapan wins the coming general election, speculated to be held this year.

He said DAP would only contest in about 50 seats in the coming polls, and never made any claims to the DPM post.

DAP consistently loyal to Anwar

On the myth that Maddy and Ah Jib Gor perpetuated, namely, that the DAP wants the DPM/PM post respectively, you don't have to choose between those two as they both lied, wakakaka.

But I bet Maddy must be furious that Guan Eng has the temerity and f**king nerve to pull the carpet from beneath his feet (by denying his lie) and also to continue to nominate Maddy's ex deputy (Anwar) as PM-designate.

Apart from the reality that Maddy still hates Anwar, he of course wants his own son Mukhriz to be PM-designate but dares not say it aloud for fear of Pakatan running away from his grubby embrace and secret objectives which, in the observant words of Ramkarpal Singh and his sister Sangeet Kaur, are incompatible with those of the DAP.

A lonely much-disliked man like Maddy needs every ally (eg. Ikatan, wakakaka) he can get, one way or another (his usual style is the latter, wakakaka again). Thus he has now even cosy-ed up to his most hated DAP.

But Guan Eng has just shown us a salutary lesson that Maddy cannot be trusted.

    1. LGE is the sec-gen of the DAP and speaks for the DAP

Does Mahathir speak for the DAP?

but of you wish to support Mahathir rather than the DAP, which I know you hate (the latter) very much, that's your choice

  2. Well, first of all,no matter what,we,Malaysians want is a change of regime. But from what I can envisage is that the Umno/BN is going to get a substantial number of seats back from the opposition.GE 14 is going to be a rough and tumble election for the opposition.

The way things are going,I wouldn't be surprise if the opposition is going to get cut up in half of the seats they presently hold.

  3. Sometimes,or rather most of the time, politicians think with their heels and speak through their noses.

A political party has to win a general election,in order to appoint their candidates to be PM or DPM.How can party leaders of potential losing parties, even ever think of appointing their candidates to be PM or DPM?
