Malaysian universities vulnerable to Daesh recruitment

Extract from the Malay Mail Online:

Daesh is allegedly financed by Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar in their bid to stem Shia dominance

Daesh's religious affiliation is Salafi or
Wahhabism
of the Sunni Shafi'i school

Earlier, in his speech, UUM vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Mohamed Mustafa Ishak said a research conducted by the university’s lecturers at the School of International Studies (SoIS) through Institute for Youth Research (IYRES) revealed there was potential for students to accept the Daesh ideology, although the number was small.

“This is a pioneer research study on Daesh and it involves 2,000 respondents from four zones in Peninsular Malaysia.

“It was found that 15.1 per cent of the respondents had respect for the Daesh ideology, 19.5 per cent were willing to contribute their energy, 9.3 per cent believed they would go to heaven as a reward by joining the Daesh struggle and 7.9 per cent were willing to donate to the Daesh cause,” he said.

Therefore, Mohamed Mustafa said the Daesh ideology must be curbed through more concrete measures such as giving detailed explanations on Daesh, as the varsity students did not have a clear picture of the dangers of the Daesh threats. — Bernama

Amazing! 15.1% of university students have respect for Daesh (IS or ISIS) ideology, which is an organization that makes use of naive Muslim women, some of whom have been Malaysian sweeties, as sex slaves, and who kill children or make them into walking bombs, and who murders and brutalizes (flogging, torture, decapitation, etc) innocent people including Muslims.

In that, they (the Daesh) are similar yet dissimilar to the CPM.

In Emergency days, our police (PFF) and soldiers captured women CT and found condoms in their pack. Our police and military Intelligence were told by the women CTs that as good communists they had to fulfil/help the "needs" of their male comrades when and should the latter needed sex, perhaps not on the back of a camel or kijang, but right there on the Malaysian jungle ground.

The dissimilarities was that the women CTs used condoms to prevent pregnancies which would have curtailed their guerilla activities. The Daesh sex slaves presumably did not use condoms as Islam, like Catholic Christianity, is against abortion or abortive methods. Besides, their sole role was to lie on their back and spread their legs apart for those Daesh fighters.

Back to our university students, 19.5% were 'willing to contribute their energy', whatever that means? It could be from distributing leaflets, spreading IS ideology, collecting donations but with a few like IS militant Mohamad Wanndy Mohamad Jedi (also known as Abu Hamzah Al-Fateh) spending on themselves, wakakaka - for more. see my post Patriotism of some Muslims?

But why is above group at 19.5% when the true believers are only 15.1%? Does this mean there are 4.4% non-believers but who nonetheless want to give 'their energy' to Daesh because of peer pressure or hatred for those against Daesh (eg. Shiites, Syrians, some Iraqis, Yanks and other Europeans?) or that it's vogue or fun to support a rebel group like al Qaeda?

But far more worrying has been the 9.3% who actually believed they would go to heaven as a reward by joining the Daesh struggle. Do these gullible guppies also believe the writing of Abū al-Faḍl ‘Abd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Bakr ibn Muḥammad Jalāl al-Dīn al-Khuḍayrī al-Suyūṭī (1445 - 1505) who wrote:

Each time we sleep with a Houri we find her virgin. Besides, the penis of the Elected never softens. The erection is eternal; the sensation that you feel each time you make love is utterly delicious and out of this world and were you to experience it in this world you would faint. Each chosen one [i.e. Muslim] will marry seventy [sic] houris, besides the women he married on earth, and all will have appetizing vaginas.

The myth of perpetual virginity, despite or rather in spite of being shagged umpteen times, reminds me of Draupadi in Hindu legend. By the by, a wee aside, Draupadi was the principal female personality in the Mahabharata, where the story of that Hindu epic would have been meaningless without her. I'll blog on her in a future post.

Such myths or legends testify to some men's unceasing selfish and avaricious demand for 'untouched, unpossessed, unused' women for their own sexual gratifications or, in rarer case, their worship and respect (eg. Roman vestal virgins, Miryam the mum of Yehoshua ben Yosef).

But some Muslim clerics have put extraordinary and obsessive emphasis on sex and sexual gratifications but notwithstanding it's about the 'after-life', with a chauvinistic bias against women. In Jannah the Islamic paradise, a woman would be entitled to only one male houri-ish partner instead of the 72 (or 70) for men.

But back to topic, has that been why the Malaysian government spend billions of taxpayers' money, including tax paid by non-Muslims, to educate young Malay-Muslims so that they believe or support Daesh ideology, or become another Dr Azahari Husin, one of the deadliest bomber for Jemaah Islamiyah (JI)?

What is the quantum of Saudi funding for our religious schools? Australia is now worried about Saudi funding for Islamic schools in Australia as a potential breeding ground for Islamist militants.

Last year Jihad Watch reported that the DG of Jakim (the RM1 billion per year organization) Othman Mustapha said some Malaysians with a shallow understanding of Islam have left them vulnerable to IS recruitment.

But I believe that shows that Jakim has been totally useless and a monumental failure (like most of someone's mega projects) despite its annual budget of RM1 billion.

There's no denying Jakim has been a monumental profligacy, a waste of Malaysia's scarce resources and typical of a certain era in Malaysian history where mega failures raised little concerns or were squashed off quickly into silence, and far more worrying, allowed to continue on its useless existence.
