Cheaper Lives for Iraq?

The Americans are recruiting cheaper mercenaries for Iraq. A US company has signed up around 1,000 Colombian police and military staff to work in Iraq as security forces, for less than half of what is paid to Americans or British - about $2,500-5,000 dollars a month

The company extols the Colombians experience and expertise in fighting terrorists. Hmmm, value for money or cheaper lives? Besides, their deaths will cause less political problem with the good folks back home.
